On the morning of June 1st, the opening ceremony of Saint-Gobain Gypsum Technology Material (Henan) Co., Ltd. was held in Yuzhou. The Saint-Gobain Gypsum Technology Material Production Base, invested by Saint-Gobain Group, a multinational enterprise on the world's top 500 list, has officially commenced operation. This is another major achievement of the Sino-German (European) cooperation in our city following the operational success of the kitchen waste treatment project invested by ALBA Group, and Befesa Zinc Environmental Protection Technology(Henan) Co., Ltd. invested by BAFESA Group from Germany, indicating that our city has became a share-taker of strategic green building materials industry and made further progress in the construction of a green circular economy industrial chain.

The main construction of the Saint-Gobain Gypsum Technology Materials Project includes an annual output of 40 million square meters of high-end paper-faced gypsum board production line and a 200,000-ton new building gypsum powder production line. The project uses desulfurized gypsum from coal-fired power plants as raw material. After reaching full production, the project can utilize nearly 500,000 tons of desulfurized gypsum per year and realize the comprehensive utilization of by-products of coal-fired power plants, taking local resources and turning waste into treasure, thus constructing a green circular economy development industrial chain.
